Parisian-born stylist Luc Fouquet earned over 20 years of experience working in prestigious salons in Los Angeles, Paris, Saint Tropez and Washington, D.C. before opening Hudson & Fouquet in 2004. Luc is known for his skill in creating cutting-edge styles that grow out well, which has earned him a following among clients who want fresh and edgy looks that are also effortlessly manageable outside of the salon. With an intuitive eye for natural beauty, one of Luc’s greatest skills is drawing out and amplifying the inner-style and beauty of his clients, creating unique and trendsetting styles that stand out among a crowd.
Making clients feel good in her chair by helping them achieve the look they desire is a goal of Abby Manning. For the past eight years, the creative stylist has been honing her knack for creating a smooth polished finish that clients love. The Rizzieri Aveda School graduate, who has extensive continuing education with Vidal Sassoon, Deva Curl, Redken, Wella, Graham Webb, and other well-known academies and stylists, is known for women’s cuts—short and long, as well as blow dries and playing up shadings and accents with highlights and dimensional color.

While Balayage and long haircuts and styling are her areas of expertise, she is always keen to customize just the right look for her clients. Amy Shaw was born to be a stylist.
The Graham Webb graduate has been doing hair since 2002 and lovingly learns new skills by continuing her education whenever and wherever she can, including through the Redken Exchange and Bumble and Bumble University.
Her passion is empowering women, especially those curly girls and redheads…because she knows the struggle.
When she is not enjoying the happy, healthy and fun staff and clients at Hudson & Fouquet, you can find Amy being a Mom and spending time with her family.
Andrea Glenn is one of the few hairstylist in the Annapolis area who has earned the designation of the American Board of Certified Haircolorist. Her vision for her clients is natural looking highlights and color placement for a soft, youthful and current look. By studying in New York with Lorraine Massey, author of Curly Girl the Handbook, Andrea has also expanded her expertise in cutting and caring for curly hair. She attended the University of Alabama and later received her professional education from the Graham Webb Academy.

In her chair, Angela is happy to offer advice, including helping African-American women learn how to best take care of their hair between salon visits. She is savvy about products for men and women and likes to discuss which products work best for volumizing and for daily hold.

Ann Marie Sopchick has been involved in the hair and beauty industry for over 25 years and has worked in some of the most respected salons in the country. While she is licensed in several states, Hudson & Fouquet is proud to have her call Annapolis home. Ann Marie excels in natural looking color and highlights using her keen sense of color, texture and shade. She is also gifted in understanding and working with challenged hair. She provides education for her clients and is able to prescribe products and remedies for hair damage as well as hair loss due to to health challenges. She continues to enhance her extensive knowledge and maintains her Manager/Senior Cosmetology license here in Maryland.

To ensure she can provide the best possible services for clients, Brittany regularly seeks out new education so she can continue to hone and expand her expertise.

Leaving sunny California couldn’t have been easy but Elyse Biettchert
has transitioned beautifully to Maryland and Hudson and Fouquet is happy to have her.
The nature-loving stylist, who now resides in Laurel, is passionate about all hair services but hair cutting is her favorite. “A good haircut can change your face shape, volume, and texture, and even create movement.”
Elyse enjoys cutting and styling curly hair and would love to talk to you about dry cutting. Have you tried it? After nearly a decade in the business, she knows it is her clients’ reactions that keep her inspired and motivated.

Coloring and styling specialist Gabriella Imperato

She has fun blending colors and creating color changes, like making blondes pink.

Stylist Jessica Baden
looks forward to having you in her chair. The Paul Mitchell School graduate loves making and creating connections with her clients and helping them find their beauty inside and out.
Jessica can talk about the latest trends as well as classic styles. She enjoys finding great hues through Balayage and dimensional color but styling remains her favorite service. “It is the last step for a client’s hair and pulls everything together,” she explains, “You see your finished work and how pretty or handsome your client looks and feels.”
As you leave the salon, Jessica may remind you to take into consideration how you take care of your hair. She believes in protecting and caring for this investment and is happy to make recommendations for maintaining those tresses.

Jessica Era is known for her fine-tuned, soft and gentle touch. An expert with the blow dryer, she loves to demonstrate how to maximize lift and volume through correct use of the tool. She enjoys cutting, up-dos, balayage, highlighting and color. She is knowledgeable of products and can make recommendations based on individual client needs. Hudson & Fouquet is pleased to have Jessica as a valuable part of the team.
After six years at Hudson & Fouquet, Jude Grimsley
, knows she is in the perfect place. “I love the culture here,” says the Edgewater resident, “We call ourselves a relationship company that just happens to do great hair! We really are a team here and we all work together to make sure our clients have the best possible experiences.”
A graduate of the Hudson & Fouquet apprentice program, Jude continues honing her hair skills, taking classes in in cutting, highlighting, Balayage, color formulation, up-styling, brush set, and styling for editorial shoots. The brush set has become her favorite style. “I love how it can turn an average blowdry and style into something so much more, including longer lasting results with super smooth, super voluminous hair.”

With her background as a Nordstrom’s employee and an esthetics license, Lillian also enjoys hand painting and customizing color and style for each client. “I love seeing a happy client’s reaction.

As a blonde who loves being a blonde, Lisa Richardson understands both the beauty and challenge of blonde shades. She is inspired by the seasons and like to see color change and adapt, always keeping her clients looking their best any time of year. Lisa also enjoys applying her skill to men’s cuts and color. A graduate of Graham Webb with previous experience in Georgetown and Old Town Alexandria, Lisa is loving being a part of the Hudson Fouquet team where stylists encourage and inspire one another.
A graduate of Towson University and The Fila Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, Liza Barill brings 13 years of experience to the Hudson & Fouquet family. She is especially skilled at color and corrective work. She enjoys the instant gratification of a hair makeover. Always considering skin tone and face shape, Liza loves to see that smile in the mirror when her clients see the end result. Liza provides individualized styling tips to her clients and remains on the cutting edge of the industry via continued education and product review. She also has expertise in extension work and especially enjoys the enhancement that service can bring.
Known as the Portuguese girl with the flair for creating beautiful blowouts, Maria Neves, who does indeed hail from Portugal, has been working hair, especially curly hair, for 21 years. In addition to blowouts, Maria specializes in all kinds of hair extensions. She likes the diversity of combining color, cut, and style because it makes her feel good when a guest leaves her chair feeling gorgeous.
For nearly a decade, Annapolis native Megan Miller
has enjoyed creating fresh and new cuts and color for numerous clients, many of whom have become friends. (Ask her what it was like to do hair for the Baltimore Ravens’ cheerleaders.)
The friendly and artistic stylist always wants her clients to leave with amazing hair and feel great, whether she is helping them create a whole new look or freshening what they already have. More than just a hairstylist, Noah Erbe is also an educator. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of cutting techniques and styling with his clients, so they can achieve the same great look when they style their hair at home. Noah has worked in the industry for 19 years and is a graduate of the 1994 International Beauty School. He is certified in color and cutting techniques for both men and women. He enjoys cutting, as it can produce the most updated enhancement for his clients, and specializes in encouraging a “natural” look. While Noah enjoys women’s haircutting, he has a new found passion for men’s modern barbering.
Priscilla Sheehan loves to help her clients feel beautiful inside and out. Giving every client special attention and customized services allows Priscilla to achieve fresh looks while maintaining healthy hair. Priscilla graduated from Graham Webb Academy and has over 3 years of in salon experience. With continued education from Redken and Schwarzkopf, she specializes in natural highlighting and color, dimensional color, balayage, and ombré. Priscilla also enjoys cutting mid to long length hair and smoothing treatments.

. The long-time Annapolis stylist worked at Bubbles before opening up Glow Salon & Day Spa on Housley Road. Previously a UNITE platform artist, he is color certified in most brand lines, including Redken and Schwarzkopf and has cut hair around the world, even working Milan Fashion Week.
The creative and talented stylist considers himself “mainly a colorist and hair cutter,” and loves all color, although he may be best known for his blondes, from extreme to natural that doesn’t look “rooty” at all.
To ensure that he is clear on his clients’ wishes, PT suggests bringing in a photo. If you don’t have one, PT may whip out his phone to show you photos. “Communication is the biggest thing and we need to make sure we are on the same page so that I can create exactly what you want,” he says, noting that sometimes what one person thinks is blonde is really white blonde. “I’m never unhappy with clients’ needs,” he explains, “And, if we need to make a change, I have no problem correcting anything I’ve done.”
Outside of H&F, if PT isn’t busy hanging with his wife and kids, you’ll likely find him in downtown Annapolis or perhaps playing music with Matt, the two were in a band together for 20 years and still enjoy performing together.

Our Salon Director, Steve Metzdorf, specializes in customizing new cuts for women and has a passion for men’s modern barbering while providing easy-to-follow advice to keep styles perfect and polished. Inspired by the ever-changing fashion world, Steve brings over 25 years of experience to H&F. He graduated from Florida’s Roffler Academy, is an educator for Kevin Murphy and has continued his education alongside beauty industry leaders at L’Oreal, Redken and Bumble & Bumble.

The Paul Mitchell School of Delaware graduate spent two years in the Hudson & Fouquet assistant program under a senior stylist before fully joining the salon’s ranks. For the past two years, she has been behind her own chair shaping, highlighting, and cutting long and short hair. Although classes are officially over, Taylor continues taking classes in Balayage, advanced styling and cutting long hair to continually enhance her knowledge, skills, and ability to create classic and trendy styles.
Balayage and baby lights are Taylor’s current favorite services since both of these highlighting techniques allow for a very natural look. “I enjoy getting creative with the placement of highlights since this allows for sun-kissed, dimensional color.”
Fitness enthusiasts love Taylor’s advice about using an intense mask once to twice a month while working out. Masks can also be used while working around the house or even left on overnight to aid anyone trying to grow out their hair or to heal dry and over-processed hair. “Trust me,” she says, “I’ve been there!”
